  30. Slow  HD ?! I had a SeaGate which was extremely slow,  i  replaced
  31. it with a Quantum 3.5" and everything is faster.

  42. Where the source and destination are is completely irrelavent,  i
  43. can  copy a 700K file from floppy to HD and still have access  to
  44. the  data  where the file is being copied *TO. *,  you`ll  notice
  45. that  if you try and do a directory listing for  the  destination
  46. partition  the  drive will thrash like mad because  one  task does
  47. not block another both are multitasking and accessing data  on the HD.

  57. Ahhhhhhhh!  i get it, what your saying is that you can`t  do  all
  58. tasks  from  the  WorkBench!,  yes that  is  because  WB  is  not
  59. Multi*threaded*,  however you can achieve all of what you say  if
  60. you tasks open on different screens, eg Imagine rendering in  the
  61. background on it own screen, copping a file from floppy to HD  in
  62. DOpus and printing in FinalWriter Lite.

  65. Its  all become clear now, the Amiga has different "screens"  for
  66. everthing,  on  an  A1200 with say 6 meg it  does  really  become
  67. useable  and  very efficient try it out you`ll love it,  i  can`t
  68. live  without different screens, open about 5 screens  and  press
  69. LAmiga-M continously very quickly you`ll appreciate the smoothness 
  70. at which everything switches.
